PFF Grassroots Gets a Partner in PAGCOR

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) is set to have a financial partner through the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) in the PFF's Grassroots Development Program entitled Kasibulan.

Kasibulan is the centerpiece program of PFF President Mariano Araneta who was elected as PFF President last November. The aim of Kasibulan is to boost football at the grassroots level and will also be responsible of sending a team that will be participating in the 2019 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

Kasibulan is scheduled to launch on Febuary 11, 2012 in Calamba, Laguna. Among the various personalities, FIFA Vice President for Asia and Executive Committee member Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein will grace the launching.

A total of 144 Festivals of Football will be held in around 24 provinces this year for the initial part of Kasibulan. Over 15,000 participants are expected to participate in this event that will include coaching courses, skills assesment, and training and small-sided matches.

UP Diliman coach and Loyola Meralco Sparks midfielder Andres Crisanto Gonzales has been appointed to lead Kasibulan as its Project Director.
