The Weekend Special - February 3-5 edition

Landon Donovan vs Fulham

Welcome to the Weekend Special. This little weekly feature will have some of the writers from Soccercentral Philippines suggest some games for you to watch this weekend, whether live on your television or your live stream.

Here are the results from last week:

Liverpool versus Manchester United - In a matter of days Liverpool ousted the Manchester clubs from English cup competition, whilst keeping their hopes of playing in Europe alive. Magic from the late substitute Dirk Kuyt netted the game-winner for the 2-1 final, ousting the Red Devils from the FA Cup.

Queens Park Rangers versus Chelsea - How bitter was the fallout from the controversy? The FA allowed the request to not have an opening handshake between the two teams. Then in the match itself, a controversial penalty led to the only goal of the game to keep the Blues in the FA Cup.

Everton versus Fulham - Landon's two assists were enough to oust Fulham out of the FA Cup. Clint was relatively quiet, though.

Ghana versus Mali - A 2-0 win by the Black Stars thanks to Asamaoah Gyan and Andre Ayew ensured three points, although Mali managed to eventually qualify to the next stage.

Juventus versus Udinese - The Bianconeri remain unbeaten, thanks to a brace from Alessandro Matri in their 2-1 win. They remain the leader in the race for the Scudetto.

Here are this weekend's games that you might just want to check out:

West Ham versus Milwall - A rivalry renewed. Their first round meeting ended in a scoreless draw. Bitter rivals stretching back to the 19th century for these London-based clubs.

Ivory Coast versus Equatorial Guinea - The knockout stages of the African Cup of Nations would be underway as the co-hosts are facing Didier Drogba and his band of Elephants.

Chelsea versus Manchester United - Another titanic clash awaits, although it has been overshadowed by the drama at Stamford Bridge, especially the now-deprived-of-the-English-captaincy  John Terry. Not helping are the comments being made by his fellow English teammate Rio Ferdinand.

Loyola versus Kaya - In the UFL Cup, the crowd at the Rizal Memorial Stadium were amazed by The Comeback. Can Kaya FC avenge their defeat. One thing for sure, there will be star wattage on the pitch and on the stands. If Loyola wins, they get to be level with their opponents.

Olympique Lyonnais versus Olympiques de Marseille - They have their own competitive rivalry, entitled Choc des Olimpiques. Both teams are in the top 5 of Ligue 1.
