At the end of the match last Thursday, Kuwait celebrated as if they have won a cup competition; To add, they have gone through a 90-minute-battle with an Azkals squad who played on an entirely new level of football. A huge transformation has been made since the recent Suzuki Cup and it was very nice to see the boys play against a strong side and make them look vulnerable.
Following the exit of the Philippines at the hands of Kuwait, we asked the fans of their reactions with the results and their outlook for the national team in their next endeavours.

The match between the Philippine Azkals and the Kuwait Al-Azraq concluded with the latter advancing to the third round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

On the day before the much anticipated second leg clash between the Philippines and Kuwait, Coach Michael Weiss stated, "The morale in the team is good." Weiss added, "more stability and more preparation compared to the first leg" for the Philippine team who were defeated by Kuwait 3-0 despite a strong showing in the first half.
High stakes are on the line come Today as the Azkals face arguably their toughest task so far - to score at least three goals (against Kuwait) with out condecding within ninety minutes to salvage anything out of the series.
The Azkals will play the biggest game of their lives tomorrow and they have a mountain to climb against a formidable asian team. Like Coach Michael Weiss said, on times like these, you need players who has initiative.

In the first 20 minutes, I thought Coach Michael Weiss had devised the masterplan to weave an upset in the Middle East. A couple of defensive lapses however left them to only delay the inevitable. So what went wrong?
