Eighty-eight minutes had elapsed since the undermanned Philippine Azkals United first took the pitch against South Korean rivals Icheon Citizen FC in a charity match dubbed as the Kia Rio Cup, and the visitors were enjoying a one-nil lead, with time undoubtedly on their side.
"This is a friendly match, but we will try to be competitive." Those were the words from Icheon Citizen player Ji Hoon Yang as Icheon Citizen and the Azkals United had their press conference last January 20 morning at the Discovery Suites.
The Azkals are back to the pitch once again as they are set to face Korean Challengers League side Icheon Citizen FC this Saturday, January 21, 2011 at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
